EMOTIONS IN MOTION
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then 30 frames per second is worth, well, do the math, a wealth of words! Quentin Torentino said it well (although insensitively) when informed that an elder had suffered a heart attack during the premier of his movie Pulp Fiction, he said “Wow, the power of cinema!”.
We do not remain indifferent to a story well told. A story that tugs on our emotions, be it sad, happy or even disturbing (hello Quentin), will always be more of an engaging vehicle than a story that fails to reach any of our soft spots.
This leads me to extol the power of online video. Have you watched a video today? I bet more than one. Short, engaging, entertaining and easy to digest. This is the perfect medium that appeals to our shorter-than-ever attention spans. And you won’t be surprised to learn that Youtube is the number two search engine in the world, it’s potential reach is staggering. Engaging your audience with a crafty video will secure an exponential reach when your video hits the sharing circuit. Click on anyone of the links below to see some videos that reached viral status.
