PAINFULLY INTRINSIC ORIGINALITY

Contrary to what we always hear, I believe nothing has ever been done before. Sure, all design and advertising ideas may have their roots in, and be inspired by, other ideas. And less successful designs are usually comparable to work before seen. But aside from designs that are meant to be copycats, all design/communication ideas have their own reason for being, with their own criterion. And how effectively a message is transmitted by an original design/communication idea, usually depends on the originality of the creator themselves.

Great creative directors, art directors, writers and designers all have that need to be creative, not because they choose to do so but because the creativity is an intrinsic pleasure that is a pain if not manifested. Wow, I guess I'm in a philosophical mood today. Below are some amazing design ideas that have that feeling of true originality.
