Hemingway may have created the world’s shortest novel, but he might not have realized that his novel does what great advertising does, create a compelling story in just a few words. Great ads have the ability to make our minds complete and project story into our eyes. The perfect image supported by the perfect words, or if you’re a writer the other way around, will create an emotional connection with the audience. And when the audience connects emotionally, they enhance the story with more pictures in their minds.
Take Hemingway’s novel, (headline to this blog post) you can just imagine the situation and see the sad face of the parent posting the "for sale" ad. And you can't help but wonder what happened to the baby. A great ad has the same power, it engages your mind to feel the story and fill in the details. Below are a few mind blowing ads.
